Nutella, pears and chocolate or homemade salted caramel – just three of the tempting crepe toppings at MAMIE’S Covent Garden.
And that’s not all… inspired by authentic creperies in Brittany, MAMIE’S menu also features galettes – the savory cousin of the crepe – made of buckwheat flour, salt and water; healthy and gluten free.
The recipes and interiors may be traditional, but the ordering process is pretty advanced – we’re handed a tablet where we browse the menu and process our order. No conversation required.
I opt for the cinnamon apple crepe and salted caramel tea. I’m handed a Twining’s box featuring every flavour of fruit tea that could take your fancy.
The waitress drops off our crepes and pops back to check we’re enjoying them shortly after. Of course we are.
