 If you follow my blog, you’ll know I love eating clean and will usually always opt for the healthy option on a menu. But now and again, we all deserve a treat day.

Served within quaint vintage tearooms, chic hotels and luxury restaurants; here are some of the best Yorkshire locations serving up delectable afternoon tea delights… and one with a healthy twist. 

Indulge yourself in a quintessentially British tradition!

Filmore and Union, Yorkshire

Enjoy guilt-free afternoon tea at one of nine Yorkshire restaurants.

Using only high quality, fresh ingredients from local suppliers, Filmore and Union serve afternoon tea with a healthy twist, made-to-order.

The three-tier stand consists of nine savoury rye bread canapes topped with dill and lemon cream cheese with smoked salmon; pesto, tomato and parma ham; roasted red peppers and caramelised onions.

Blueberry, lemon and rosemary scones follow alongside pistachio, lemon and poppy seed cake, lavender and super seed cake, dark chocolate and raspberry brownies.

The best bit? It’s 100% gluten free.

The waitresses will serve you wearing frilly pinnys and pearl earrings while a live pianist entertains.

Cost: From £19.50 per person for traditional afternoon tea, £16.95 per person for splendid, £23.50 per person for magnificent or splurge on regal for £80 per couple.

Betty’s Tea Rooms, York and Harrogate
